Bridal Veil Waterfall, Raglan
A stunning piece of New Zealand scenery, we stopped just outside of Raglan to view this, after spending the night with the Woodfords in Hamilton.

And so the search continued .... backpackers car mart was mainly vans with a bed and interesting patterns on the outside to hide the rust. We have found some campers on the Trademe website and so hired a car to go and view them. A bit disappointed with the search but then, after one viewing and as we were passing, decided to pop into Ellerslie Racecourse Car Fair and found THE CAMPER! Finally !!!! hurrah!!! So spent the rest of our car hire time doing the tourist views - Mt Eden and Albert Park, and contents shopping for the camper.
We've been in Auckland since Tuesday. Not much to report since we've been taking it easy after our "holiday" in Sydney, plus lots of admin to do in this early stage, such as bank accounts, tax numbers, mail forwarding etc. Have started looking for our campervan, though we can't buy anything until our bankers draft clears, which will be Friday 16th. We will add some photos once we've done the Sky Tower in Auckland. Oh, and its very hot and humid here at the moment. No cold, dark winter nights for us ! :-)
We enjoyed a great day tour to the Blue Mountains on Saturday. Great weather, great scenery, everything just great really! On the way, we stopped for tea in the bush and learned to throw a boomerang. We enjoyed it so much, we bought two! We also stopped off at a wildlife park and fed the kangaroos. Lots of photos on the flickr web site. On Sunday we went to Palm Beach, famous for the location of TV's "Home and Away". Great weather again on Sunday, the frequent rain at the start of our trip seems to have left us now. We have checked out of the hotel this morning, and we catch the bus to the Airport at 3pm, for our onward flight to Auckland. Exciting times ahead!
