Sydney, half way through stop over

We have been in Sydney 5 days now, and have done the usual tourist trips, such as Darling Harbour, Aquarium, Opera House and Bridge, Botanical Gardens, Sydney Tower and so on. Have walked a fair few miles! Weather has been mixed, on the whole mild temperatures, some sunny, some wet days. We have a day trip to the Blue Mountains on Friday to look forward to, plus we are seeing a show in the Opera House Thursday evening. We would also like to get to Taronga Zoo and see some of the beaches, Bondi or Palm (of "Home and Away" fame!). All in all, having a great time so far !

Singapore Airport - Just over half way there

We have arrived at Singapore Airport, having completed the first part of the flight, 12+ hours from London. Its 11am back home, 7pm here!
We only have about an hour before we need to board the plane for Sydney. Going to get a coffee now, try and keep us awake for a bit.

Here's a photo of me outside the Opera House, from around April 1997. How much younger ("thinner with more hair", pipes up Heidi !!) I was then. We shall try and take photos from this same spot next week, when we arrive in Sydney.

Finished work on Friday 18th November. Had several leaving bashes through the week and over the weekend. Finally made it to Heidi's parents today, where we can relax a bit now, and make final preparations, ready for the flight on Wednesday at 9:45pm.

Just created my blogger account, where we hope to keep you posted on our progress. We are busy making final preparations, not long now till we depart !
